Classicism
Refreshed

Built in 1939 and listed on the National Register Of Historic places, we guided the complete renovation of this Colonial Revival home.   The structure’s bathrooms as well as a small dated kitchen were gutted and re-configured to enlarge and modernize these spaces while respecting the age of the home.

Finishes and materials such as statuary stone, subway tile and painted “faux marble” floors in the entry foyer were incorporated into newly designed spaces suggesting they were original to the period the structure was originally constructed in an effort to insure a seamless and undetectable evolution of the home.

The client’s extensive collection of fine European antiques were juxtaposed with newer, clean-lined modern furnishings to freshen the interiors to 21st century comfort and sophistication.
